About The Position
The Pre-Press Tech will be responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of pages and plans for Hearst Newspaper Publications. This role involves working directly with all staff to meet posted schedules and ensuring files are press-ready. This may include collaborating with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to fonts/links, bleeds, trim, overprint settings, transparency, and color conversion. The ability to lay out and/or generate new PDFs is also a key function of this position. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess the ability to prioritize order of work.
- Perform effectively under pressure to maintain press schedules.
- Proficiency in Adobe applications.
- General knowledge of prepress functionality.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CUE Print.
- Experience with NewsWay.
- Prior pre-press experience (training will be provided for those who lack it).
