About The Position

Gordon Chevrolet is looking for a proven Used Car Manager to lead and grow our used vehicle operation. This is a hands-on role focused on driving volume, maximizing gross, and building a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in used car management or similar role
  • Proven ability to drive volume and gross
  • Strong in appraisals, inventory strategy, and pricing
  • Experience managing reconditioning and costs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and closing skills
  • Data-driven and results-focused
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Drive Performance
  • Increase used vehicle volume and gross profit
  • Track KPIs and adjust strategy to improve results
  • Partner with leadership to hit monthly and annual goals
  • Ensure strong CRM execution (lead handling, follow-up, close rate)
  • Manage Inventory
  • Acquire the right inventory based on market demand
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for turn and profitability
  • Price vehicles competitively using live market data
  • Oversee reconditioning for speed, quality, and cost control
  • Lead the Team
  • Coach and develop sales staff to improve performance
  • Work deals, TO customers, and stay active on the floor
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable
  • Appraise & Price
  • Accurately appraise trades using market data and condition
  • Maintain consistent, profit-focused appraisal practices
  • Adjust pricing strategies as the market shifts
  • Customer Experience
  • Ensure a smooth process from first contact to delivery
  • Resolve issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintain strong CSI and online reputation
