About The Position

This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of surgical patients, requiring a strong understanding of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and the ability to manage patients with evolving medical needs. The position emphasizes problem-solving, adaptability, effective communication, and strong customer service skills within a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Florida Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Excellent teaching skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
• Strong customer service skills
• Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
• Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
