About The Position

A growing plaintiff personal injury law firm is hiring a Pre-Litigation Attorney for its Irvine office. This is a full-time, in-office role with autonomy and accountability, strong support staff, and high-level mentorship. The attorney will manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement, developing case strategy and working with clients, support staff, and other attorneys.

Requirements

• Active California bar license in good standing.
• Strong understanding of California personal injury law and procedure.
• Experience managing a significant personal injury caseload.
• Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to weigh risk, leverage, and case value.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently within a team.

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of plaintiff personal injury experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own personal injury cases from intake through settlement and set strategies to move cases forward.
• Investigate liability, damages, and case value, and analyze medical records and other evidence.
• Draft and review demand packages and other legal documents.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel, and advise clients on settlement offers.
• Guide clients through the process by setting expectations, answering questions, and keeping them informed.
• Work closely with legal assistants, case managers, lien negotiators, and other attorneys.
