Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a preschool, pre-k, or childcare setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check in accordance with state childcare regulations
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with pre-k curriculum standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for children ages 3-5
- Monitor and document student development, milestones, and behavioral progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child growth and classroom activities
- Guide social-emotional learning and conflict resolution among young students
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support whole-child development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom setting
