About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for someone energetic and passionate about working with kids to join the team as Before and After Pre-K Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located at Mary Raber Montessori School in Columbia City, IN. The role involves planning and leading engaging activities, managing daily operations, and communicating with parents and staff.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or relevant college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) required.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat.
• Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
• Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment.
