About The Position

The Pre-K Educator supports classroom lead teachers by following daily instructions, engaging with children, maintaining classroom housekeeping, and upholding safety guidelines. The role also contributes to curriculum planning, attends required team meetings and professional development, and participates in ongoing supervision and evaluation with the Director.

Responsibilities

• Arrive promptly for scheduled shifts as agreed upon with the Director.
• Understand, uphold, and model the Mission, policies, and philosophy of Temple Shalom Nursery School.
• Support classroom lead teachers by carrying out daily instructions, engaging with children, maintaining classroom housekeeping, and strictly upholding safety guidelines.
• Actively participate in curriculum planning initiatives.
• Attend team planning meetings whenever possible and provide classroom coverage so lead teachers can participate.
• Attend all mandatory Whole School Team meetings.
• Complete required professional development hours in accordance with Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing evaluation, reflective practices, and regular supervision with the Director.
• Participate in the formal Yearly Review and Job Appraisal process described in the Supervision and Evaluation section of the handbook.
