About The Position

The Pre-K Educational Assistant will work under the directive of the Pre-Kindergarten teacher to which he/she is assigned and will follow all EA guidelines set forth by Wilson County Schools. This is a 180-day position with insurance and retirement benefits. Pay rate will be determined by education, experience, and placement on Grade 3 of the Hourly Classified Staff salary schedule. The starting rate of pay will be no less than $14.80 per hour.

Requirements

• Highly qualified (HQ) by a minimum of an Associate's degree or coursework equivalent in Early Childhood or comparable field of study.
• If Associate's degree is not in Early Childhood, hold a child development associate credential (CDA), or early childhood technical certificate.
• Relevant work experience in early childhood education MAY be acceptable for this requirement.
