About The Position

The Growing Years Early Learning Center in Bedford, offering childcare for children from birth through five years of age in a teaching environment that is secure and nurturing, is actively seeking a full-time, first shift Pre-K Teacher Assistant. This position will assist the Pre-K Classroom Teacher to implement program planning to include individualized activities for each child in the classroom.

Requirements

• A minimum of a CDA preschool credential or completion of at least two years of full-time, post-secondary study; or the equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related degree; or an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood or related degree with at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pre-K classroom teacher to maintain accurate records for the classroom as requested such as food data, attendance, etc.
• Completes all forms accurately and submits them in a timely manner to the supervisor.
• Assists Pre-K classroom teacher to monitor and maintain inventory and supplies used in the classroom.
• Monitors and maintains in good repair materials and equipment used in the classroom.
• Provides services to assigned families with children ages three to five years.
• Maintains accurate records of classroom experiences, family contacts, services to children, food data, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
