About The Position
The assistant teacher will assist and support the classroom teacher in providing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate program and environment where children have the opportunity to develop social-emotional, language, intellectual and physical skills. Also, the assistant teacher should be able to respect and support the family unit in their efforts to raise their children to become well-rounded individuals.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related Field
- CDA Credential, Specialized Age Group Certificate
- Two years (2,500) documented work experience
- Must have some knowledge of early childhood education – coursework or prior experience.
- CPR Certification required within 2 months of the date of hire.
- Current clearances: PA Child Abuse, NSOR, FBI/State Police.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing classroom activities.
- Support child supervision, engagement, and guidance.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom setup.
- Communicate effectively with staff and families.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations.
