About The Position
Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring a Pre-K Assistant Teacher at Faithful Shepherd's Discovery Center in Eagan, MN. This position works alongside our Lead Teacher and teaching team to support Pre-K students during the afternoon portion of their school day. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for consistent part-time, weekday afternoon hours in a supportive early childhood education environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with preschool or Pre-K children is preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus
- Dependable, positive, and comfortable working as part of a teaching team
- Must meet applicable Minnesota childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine
- Engage with children during learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions
- Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, assistants, and on-site staff
- Follow LADC policies and Minnesota childcare licensing requirements
