Requirements

High School diploma completion required
Previous experience teaching or working with preschool or Pre-K aged children
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
Ability to obtain or maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
Must meet South Carolina state childcare licensing requirements
Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children

Nice To Haves

Some college courses in education, child development, or related are preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum for 4-year-old Pre-K students
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Monitor and document student developmental milestones and progress
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a positive school culture
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom setting
Follow all Goddard School standards, licensing regulations, and safety protocols
