Pre-Fabrication Sheet Metal Mechanic
About The Position
EMC Mechanical Services is searching for a Prefabrication Mechanic to join our Construction group! The Prefabrication Mechanic provides hands on leadership to the shop crew and improves field efficiency and quality by producing pre-fabricated material. This position aims to reduce field install hours by pre-fabricating necessary material in a safe, efficient environment to meet the fast-paced deadlines within our industry. The Prefabrication Mechanic will be responsible to schedule, monitor, and organize day to day work in the pipe pre-fabrication shop, as coordinated with field operations and project management. This position is also responsible for meeting budget goals for each job, including minimizing waste and ensuring that all work is done accurately and on time.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in fabrication.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Fluent English verbal and written skills are required.
- Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Must have positive points on state driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
- Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
Responsibilities
- Produce and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Assist with piping and plumbing prefab as necessary.
- Schedule, monitor, and organize day to day work in the pipe pre-fabrication shop, as coordinated with field operations and project management.
- Meet budget goals for each job, including minimizing waste and ensuring that all work is done accurately and on time.
