About The Position

The Pre-Drill and Tray Builder has the responsibility of drilling screw holes to pattern and building shelf dividers. This position will also be responsible for drilling rub rails, federates, door pins, door panels, stone guards, rear kick plates, training of employees, along with helping other departmental employees, adhering to production schedule while maintaining a quality product. This position requires frequent interaction with a variety of significant internal and external customers and is an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team.

Requirements

  • Mechanical background to include power and/or air tools
  • Ability to run or learn to run plasma cutter, shear, notched, saws, drills and presses
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Ability to inspect finished products during manufacturing
  • Ability to apply quality assurance techniques
  • Meet or exceed cost reduction goals
  • Ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques
  • Knowledgeable of Life Line product and materials needed for production
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Work with and assist production personnel
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • High school diploma or technical training in related field or equivalent experience

  • Successful completion of a pre-employed drug screen and physical examination
