We are looking for a full-time research assistant to perform laboratory experiments at Massachusetts General Hospital within the Laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Green for preferably 1-2 years as able. The aim of the project is to understand how neuron types in the cerebral cortex contribute to error detection and learning. Performing molecular profiling of brain slices. The project will be in collaboration with other scientists working on imaging neural activity and behavior, with ample opportunities to learn about these techniques. Experience working with cellular and molecular techniques in a research laboratory is necessary as and experience working with rodents in a neuroscience lab is ideal. This role is designed for candidates who plan to pursue advanced graduate studies (e.g., a Ph.D. or M.D.) and offers an opportunity to engage in rigorous research projects under the mentorship of leading scholars. The position provides hands-on experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and academic writing, making it an excellent stepping-stone for future educational and research careers.
