About The Position

The Pre-Doctoral Fellow is a current student in a degree program in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, biological sciences or related, and is conducting independent research under the supervision of a principal investigator in preparation to work fully independently on department level and original research in the future. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a degree program
  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Must be capable of performing and interpreting assay data related to the specific research lab.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work carefully, accurately and consistently with instruction or protocol.
  • Must be able to work safely and properly use protective equipment.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet searches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the CPP Director, conduct original, professional-level research and modify techniques as necessary to meet research and/or experimental needs.
  • Responsible for collecting, organizing, and maintaining accurate research data.
  • Use statistical or qualitative analysis software to synthesize and interpret study results, perform data analysis using advanced statistical techniques, and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Perform comprehensive literature reviews and contribute to the preparation of research presentations, papers, and progress reports.
  • Drafts manuscripts and serves as a co-author on publications in journals and presentations at professional conferences and scientific meetings.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating research activities and reporting progress to the principal investigator or research team.
  • May assist in preparing grant proposals and funding applications and present findings at internal or external meetings when applicable.
  • Participates and presents in Lab meetings and research seminars.
