About The Position

This position is mainly responsible for completing daily inspection procedures for the VPC department in accordance with GPMS inspection guidelines, in order to meet customer expectations. Must be open to overtime.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
  • Must hold a valid Driver's license
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite is required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc)
  • Computer literacy with experience in Bluetooth/RF technology and logistics software Required
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English Required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to adapt to process change and ISO standards
  • Quality Audit Reporting
  • Database management system experience required
  • Must be able to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, utilize good judgment when dealing with personnel, and be discreet about confidential information.
  • Must remain calm and maintain professionalism during difficult situations
  • Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Frequent use of right and left feet
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping and hand manipulation for computer and copy machine use
  • Stand, walk and drive constantly 5+ hours per day
  • Sit, bend, stoop, climb, reach over shoulder, kneel, balance, push, pull, squat, crawl, crouch occasionally 1-3 hours per day
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

  • 3 years experience in automotive, manufacturing, or processing Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Verify all PIO codes match work order/ Monroney label
  • Inspect/tag vehicle for any damage (notify Supervisor or Manager of quality concerns)
  • Ensure Vin number on vehicle matches the work order and pillar B panel
  • Verify all PIO codes match work order and Monroney label
  • Ensure that the interior of the vehicle is clean and free of debris
  • Drive both automatic and stick shift vehicles
  • Inspect vehicle of any quality concerns
  • Inspect all vehicles according to customer specifications using i-sheets and instructions given by the supervisor and/or trainer.
  • Verify the vin # matches the work order and pillar B panel
  • Fill or Type in PDI worksheets based on vehicle model (hardcopy or tablet)
  • Ensure Vin number on vehicle matches the work order and pillar B panel
  • Verify all PIO codes match work order and Monroney label
  • Complete all necessary PDI sheet paperwork for verification
  • Review all necessary paperwork for proper verification prior to completion of PDI
  • Properly utilize assigned scanner and tablets.
  • Utilize check in/out procedures to allow for proper asset retention procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
