About The Position

ORC has an opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join their Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Team as a Pre-Delivery (PDI) Technician. The PDI Technician will complete the pre-delivery inspection process to ensure all vehicles meet quality standards before reaching Customers. This role requires excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure an efficient and timely workflow.

Requirements

• The ability to read and comprehend information and perform calculations.
• An eye for detail.
• The ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
• The ability to prioritize tasks and utilize time management.
• Perform bending, pushing, climbing, leaning, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and other maneuvers associated with the position.
• Lift/move items up to 100 lbs.
• Safely operate motor vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools properly and safely.
• Ability to walk briskly up to 500 yards frequently throughout a shift.
• Ability to move about the dealership to effectively communicate with members of other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform an initial visual inspection of each new unit for any damages and report immediately if damage is found.
• Fill out all manufacturer’s checklist thoroughly and file per each manufacture’s requirement.
• Input units into Trello, list any notes at input related to any special instructions for each unit.
• Attach necessary forms for each Repair Order (RO) per Brand requirement.
• Test-drive the vehicle to ensure the vehicle is operating as designed.
• Working with transport drivers to coordinate where to park in our lot and ensure the PDI team knows which units are next to be processed.
• Attend all necessary training classes for all new vehicle brands.
