About The Position

PPG is seeking a Pre-Assembly Operator for their Oak Creek location. This role is responsible for various warehouse functions including receiving, storing, parting, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. The operator will load and unload products, read production schedules to gather items, and convey materials to designated areas. They will also sort and place materials in bins according to a predetermined sequence and operate powered forklift trucks to move materials. Additional duties may include loading/unloading trucks and using a Hi-Rise to load storage racks.

Requirements

Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, parting, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas and parting material.
Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
