About The Position

Works under direction of skilled worker learning the Tool & Die trade according to written contractual agreement with the State Department of Labor Apprenticeship Division.

Requirements

• High School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
• Must have basic math knowledge.
• Computer literate
• Capable of using basic measuring equipment

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read simple blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic Tool & Die functions as assigned.
• Performs general operation & maintenance of machines such as lubrication and proper use of coolants according to set standards as specified by the apprenticeship program guidelines.
• Must attend related schooling pertaining to the trade, which includes, blueprint reading, shop sketching, metallurgy, elementary physics, etc.
• Maintains required records.
• Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
• Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
• May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
• Performs other duties as may be required.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.
