About The Position

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Pre-Algebra Substitute Teacher for the upper school. This role is crucial for ensuring continuity in student learning during the absence of the regular teacher. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher.
Valid teaching certification or substitute permit (as required by state law).
Successful completion of a criminal history background check.
Fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Strong knowledge of Pre-Algebra curriculum and teaching methods.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom needs.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience teaching Pre-Algebra.
Experience as a substitute teacher.
Familiarity with Great Hearts Academies' curriculum and educational philosophy.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in Pre-Algebra to upper school students.
Maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
Follow lesson plans and curriculum as provided by the regular teacher.
Assess student progress and provide feedback.
Ensure classroom management and student safety.
Communicate with school administration regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Complete any required administrative tasks, such as attendance and grading.
