About The Position
Physicians Surgery Center in Jackson, TN is seeking a dedicated Pre-Admissions RN to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring patients are fully prepared for their upcoming procedures. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU, or a surgical setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and screenings
- Reviewing patient medical history and ensuring all necessary clearances are obtained
- Educating patients and families on pre- and post-operative care
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
