About The Position

The Pre-Admissions Coordinator RN facilitates patient access to the appropriate level of care, health professional(s), and setting(s) to provide care and services based on the patient's assessed needs and the organization's capacity. This role involves coordinating the placement of all patient admissions, both elective and emergent, and patient transfers in adherence to established standards and guidelines. The ACC Nurse is committed to delivering excellent patient care by streamlining patient flow through the healthcare system and ensuring patients are admitted to the most suitable unit according to their care needs, based on admission criteria and bed availability. The position also emphasizes fostering a collaborative work environment through information sharing and demonstrating respect for all individuals, while continually advocating for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Ky RN license
  • Three years direct clinical experience in an acute care hospital

  • Strives for excellence in the care of the patients through the facilitation of the patients’ flow through our system.
  • Ensures the patients are admitted to the most appropriate unit to the patients’ care needs.
  • Ensures patient placement is based on admission criteria and bed availability.
  • Fosters a collaborative work environment through the sharing of information and demonstration of respect for all individuals.
  • Continually advocates for patients.
