About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their Anesthesia Administration team as a full-time Practice Operations Specialist. This hybrid position requires 3 days on-site at Fesler Hall in Indianapolis, IN. The role is crucial in supporting over 200 physicians and advanced practice providers across multiple hospitals. The Practice Operations Specialist will ensure the seamless coordination of provider scheduling, payroll and compensation processes, workforce data management, and operational communications. This role is suited for individuals who are organized, enjoy problem-solving, have a strong attention to detail, and excel at building relationships to support providers and leaders in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, eager to learn, and capable of managing competing priorities to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of patient care operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2-4 years professional office experience (preferably healthcare related), and familiarity with health care organizations required.
  • Masters of Health Administration or Masters of Business Administration may be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Accounting, Business, Management, Science or Health Administration concentration preferred.
  • Experience managing schedules, staffing data, timekeeping, payroll processes, or compensation-related reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, validate, and maintain accurate workforce and compensation data
  • Experience serving as a liaison between multiple stakeholders, including leaders, providers, staff, and administrative teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data management or reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and appropriately escalate concerns when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in business administration, finance, accounting, payroll, operations, workforce management, or healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support in practice operations for the organization and reports to the Service Line Administrator.
  • Will monitor budgets and practice targets, evaluate and implement policies and procedures, manage projects, and work with all levels of management and physicians to accomplish goals.
  • Provides interim managerial support in the absence of a Practice Administrator and or Clinic Manager.
