About The Position

The Practice Manager serves as the visible, on-site operational leader responsible for the internal day-to-day performance, coordination, and stability of Chicago ENT and Chicago Sleep Center. This role ensures seamless execution of clinical operations, smooth interdepartmental workflows, and immediate responsiveness to physician and staff needs. This role requires on-site availability and is not fit for a hybrid or remote structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in healthcare clinical operations and management, with a track record of success in multi-facility settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and accreditation requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing clinical teams, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Mergers and acquisitions experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Operational Leadership Serves as the on-site operational point person for physicians and department leads.
  • Rapidly addresses day-to-day operational disruptions (staffing gaps, clinic flow breakdowns, equipment issues, scheduling conflicts).
  • Acts as first-level escalation for operational concerns and can step in for direct coverage as needed within departments.
  • Identifies workflow friction points and implements practical, real-time solutions.
  • Ensures smooth coordination between front office, MAs, providers, sleep operations, audiology, billing, and referrals.
  • Leads and supports cross-department huddles or operational touchpoints as needed.
  • Patient Experience & Service Recovery Oversees complaint resolution per internal grievance policy.
  • Monitors patient flow, wait times, service standards, and ensures timely, professional patient communication.
  • Implements immediate corrective actions when breakdowns occur and designs lasting processes to support areas in need of reform.
  • Human Capital Execution Directly supervises department leads and supports them to manage their departments well.
  • Conducts performance evaluations for direct reports and provides support for progressive discipline, professional growth and development of all staff.
  • Monitors staffing levels and partners with HR for recruitment needs.
  • Reinforces culture expectations around professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability.
  • Other selected administrative duties as directed by physician or management.
