About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking a Practice Manager to work in our Lowndes Mental Health Clinic in Valdosta, Georgia. The Manager of Patient Access Services is responsible for the daily work flow of all patient access staff in scheduling and pre-service departments. Ensures that staff is operating in accordance with policies and procedures of the department and organization. Works with Operations Managers to ensure good client relationships and team work. Duties include recruiting, hiring and mentoring new employees, implementing industry standard key production indicators and motivating staff to ensure department goals are met and exceeded. Creates and maintains a positive culture for achieving outstanding client experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management level position in patient access or customer service, self-pay collections, billing and cash posting in a hospital, healthcare organization or physician practice
  • Experience with Microsoft office required, including charting, flow charting and cause and effect.
  • Must meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
  • Must have knowledge of insurance eligibility verification and payment processing.
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient with Windows, MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrates an independent work initiative, sound judgement and strong work ethic.
  • Works cooperatively in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with patients, staff and managers both verbally and in writing.
  • Shows objectivity and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback.
  • Employee must possess advanced computer skills, and ability to learn new financial software applications.
