About The Position

Lawrenceburg Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the business and day-to-day operations of their hospital. This individual will play an important role in supporting the hospital team, maintaining an exceptional client experience, and helping the practice achieve its operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate is an organized, people-focused leader who enjoys working alongside a veterinary team and is comfortable balancing employee management, client service, hospital operations, and financial responsibilities.

Requirements

4+ years of veterinary hospital or practice management experience
Experience in Emergency or Specialty veterinary medicine is strongly preferred
Strong leadership and employee-management skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy hospital environment
Comfort working with budgets, financial reports, and operational metrics

Nice To Haves

College degree or equivalent experience preferred
Veterinary Practice Management certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead the hospital team and provide day-to-day guidance, direction, and support.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee development.
Conduct and coordinate performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Address employee concerns and workplace issues in a professional and timely manner.
Communicate important company updates, policies, procedures, and hospital information to the team.
Maintain compliance with workplace safety requirements, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation procedures.
Support the hospital's emergency and disaster preparedness processes.
Manage the daily administrative and operational functions of the hospital.
Partner with the Lead Veterinarian and Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) leadership to address hospital needs and opportunities.
Help create an efficient, positive environment for patients, clients, and employees.
Respond to client questions and concerns and work with medical leadership when issues involve patient care.
Coordinate facility maintenance and ensure equipment and the hospital environment are safe, clean, and well maintained.
Maintain required permits, licenses, regulatory documentation, and compliance programs.
Oversee purchasing and inventory while maintaining appropriate budget controls.
Manage the hospital's practice management software and email communications.
Ensure patient reminder and wellness initiatives are implemented and maintained.
Organize and participate in staff meetings and hospital leadership meetings.
Keep leadership informed of significant staffing, facility, client, equipment, or operational concerns.
Help ensure every client interaction reflects the hospital's commitment to excellent service.
Coordinate client communications, including signage, social media, direct mail, and other outreach.
Develop relationships with local organizations, pet-related businesses, humane societies, and other community partners.
Represent the hospital at community events and activities designed to strengthen local relationships and awareness.
Maintain current client education materials and other resources.
Participate in annual planning and budgeting and regularly review hospital financial performance.
Analyze financial reports and collaborate with the Lead Veterinarian and CVP leadership to address opportunities and challenges.
Review weekly financial information and monthly P&L results.
Work with the Regional Director of Operations on capital expenditure requests.
Review vendor invoices and statements for accuracy.
Coordinate payroll activities and ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule.
Oversee daily cash handling, deposits, and local banking activities.
Complete required CVP financial and business reporting.
Occasionally work scheduled shifts supporting client service or direct patient care.
Provide leadership and oversight for the hospital team and works closely with doctors, technicians, assistants, client service representatives, and CVP leadership to support a successful hospital environment.
