About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a Practice Manager III for our Gastroenterology practice in Elizabethtown, KY. This role is responsible for monitoring all daily operations of the practice to ensure efficient and cost-effective functioning. The Practice Manager III will be available to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve problems as they arise, and will supervise office personnel to ensure appropriate staffing and assignments for efficient clinic operation. This position involves meeting with office staff and providers to discuss practice and organizational activities and receive feedback, as well as assisting in developing strategic plans and objectives based on identified patient needs. The role also includes assisting with the development of the office operating budget and ensuring the office operates within it, reviewing financial reports, calculating annual provider bonuses, and providing direct supervision to personnel responsible for claims, credit, and collections. Additionally, the Practice Manager III must maintain institutional policies and procedures, quality assurance, and safety standards, and ensure the resolution of patient complaints or problems regarding patient care and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or health care related field.
  • 5+ years of management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and project management skills.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the payor environment, patient service delivery systems and federal/state rules and regulations regarding billing processes.

  • Healthcare experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in a surgical practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all daily operations of practice to assure practice runs in an efficient cost-effective manner.
  • Available to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Supervises office personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignments are met for efficient clinic operation.
  • Meet with office staff and providers as needed to report practice and organizational activities, as well as receive feedback.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients.
  • Assist with the development of office operating budget and ensures office operates within budget.
  • Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, which include operating statements, accounts receivable aging, and various performance measures.
  • Calculate annual provider bonuses in accordance with their contract.
  • Provides direct supervision to internal personnel responsible for claims, credit and collections.
  • Maintains established institutional policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Ensures the resolution of and/or handles patient complaints or problems regarding patient care, and customer service.
