About The Position

The Spiegel Center is a high-end medical practice with a fully accredited surgery center on site. Specializing in plastic surgery and medical spa treatments, our mission is to help our patients feel beautiful inside and out. This position is responsible for the overall operation and financial success of a practice, ensuring the highest quality care and services are provided in the most efficient manner. You will provide strategic leadership and direction to personnel utilizing skills, tools, critical thinking, metrics and a results-oriented mentality. You will be responsible for cost benefit analysis, revenue enhancement, overhead expense management, process improvement and clinical and non-clinical staff oversight. The Director provides overall direction to ensure the team members of the practice deliver the highest quality patient experience, while maximizing the practice’s financial performance. The Director provides leadership for continuous service and quality improvement, innovation and staff empowerment, strong financial systems and safeguards, growth, and development of effective processes. The successful candidate will comfortably act as a leader, information resource, and ambassador to patients, the public, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related health care field – Graduate Degree preferred.
  • 6 – 10+ years of management experience in health care.
  • Knowledge of physician practice finances, revenue cycle management, third party reimbursement, regulatory issues and compensation plan methodologies.
  • Knowledge of EMR, and experience with Nextech electronic medical record and practice management systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the aesthetics/plastic surgery industry is desired.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in impacting and influencing senior management.
  • Leadership qualities, diplomacy, discretion, ability to enforce difficult positions, excellent communication, public speaking skills and exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent internet and related search skills as well as familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and align initiatives with the strategic vision of the organization.
  • Model and promote the desired culture through a leadership style that includes providing mentorship, management, and professional development of direct and indirect reports.
  • Direct, supervise and coordinate the functions and activities of all locations.
  • Build and maintain a talented, dedicated, and committed operations team with the depth and skills that enable the organization to effectively execute its strategic plan.
  • Foster a challenging, positive and motivating environment.
  • Establish effective communication with physician leadership, employed physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Evaluate patient satisfaction and ensure responsiveness to concerns.
  • Maintain the buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment in a manner consistent with the highest standards of safety, sanitation, efficiency and appearance and develop plans that will mitigate disruption to patient services.
  • Assure effective clinical operations, especially relating to credentialing, licensing, CMEs, coding, charging, and reporting on significant metrics.
  • Ensure patient and employee safety at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with government and third-party payer requirements.
  • Develop budgets, including; forecasts of revenue, workload, and requirements for personnel, space, equipment, and support services to assure financial viability and to fulfill the goals and objectives of the practice in a coordinated, effective and efficient manner. Report and interpret monthly and annual data to assure budget compliance.
  • Enforce ethical business practices.
  • Manage legal affairs including corporate and healthcare regulatory issues and legal relationships. Ensure regulatory adherence while limiting impact on operations and growth.
  • Participate in the development of corporate goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Build company image by collaborating with customers, community organizations, and employees.
  • Oversee marketing and business development activities.
  • Negotiate contracts with partners and potential payers.
  • Develop and maintains good communication and relationships with hospitals, referring practices, vendors, and payers.
  • Develop, design, implement, and automate OKRs and KPIs to drive successful outcomes.
  • Create dashboard and benchmarks to ensure a high degree of patient satisfaction.
  • Oversee payment processes for clinic visits, procedures, and surgeries. Ensure that adequate controls are in place for timely charge capture.
  • Analyze market conditions, identify and interpret trends or deviations from standards and respond by initiating policy or procedure changes.
