The Practice Director manages the ongoing alignment of company products and services with the needs, trends, and preferences of assigned market segments. This role requires a deep understanding of those segments and the ability to develop near- and long-term market plans. The Practice Director serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for internal and external audiences, helping Sales, Product, D&A, Pricing, and other centers of excellence understand government agencies, programs, and policies, and supporting the development of offerings that can grow sustainable market share. The role builds and uses relationships across federal, state, and industry stakeholders to maintain awareness of key influencers, state operations capabilities, economic shifts, compliance and regulatory issues, and technology advances. Unlike a traditional Solutions Engineer or Technical Solutions Consultant focused on technical validation, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts, the Practice Director concentrates on policy alignment, agency mission mapping, executive positioning, and deal strategy. The position operates at the intersection of domain policy, executive client advisory, and revenue generation. The Practice Director partners with Account Executives on complex, high-value public-sector deals, advising government stakeholders and translating policy, regulatory, and funding developments into sales opportunities. The position is listed as full time, with primary locations in Clayton, Missouri, or remote in Illinois, and an estimated travel requirement of 50%.
