Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The IAM Practice Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for the execution and delivery of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This role balances leadership and hands-on technical execution, requiring the ability to define strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and actively contribute to architecture and implementation efforts. The successful candidate remains close to the work while driving alignment, decision-making, and successful delivery across complex IAM programs.

Requirements

  • 15–20+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management with strong architecture and solution design experience
  • Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing IAM solutions across domains including IGA, PAM, Access Management, Federation, MFA, and CIAM
  • Experience working directly with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping, Saviynt, CyberArk, and Active Directory
  • Strong understanding of IAM integrations, APIs, and automation (PowerShell, Python, Infrastructure as Code concepts)
  • Experience designing IAM solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Consulting or professional services experience.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive delivery outcomes
  • Experience leading IAM engagements that include both architecture and implementation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to align competing priorities
  • Ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive decisions across diverse teams
  • Experience operating in client-facing consulting roles

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery and architectural outcomes for IAM engagements from strategy through implementation and operational transition
  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and delivery stakeholders
  • Make and defend key architectural and technical decisions
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, security requirements, and technical solutions
  • Maintain accountability for delivery success across scope, quality, and risk
  • Lead IAM programs across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment across business, security, and IT stakeholders
  • Drive delivery outcomes by coordinating architecture, engineering, and implementation efforts
  • Facilitate decision-making and resolve technical and stakeholder challenges
  • Identify delivery risks and proactively drive mitigation strategies
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for both technical and delivery issues
  • Lead and contribute to the design of IAM solutions across IGA, PAM, Access Management, Federation, and CIAM platforms
  • Remain actively engaged in solution design, technical problem-solving, and implementation guidance as prescribed in a SOW
  • Work directly with engineers and analysts to ensure designs are executable and aligned to requirements
  • Make architectural decisions and recommendations based on system constraints, integration patterns, and business needs
  • Evaluate and recommend IAM platforms and technologies
  • Define and apply architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on IAM strategy, governance, and transformation initiatives
  • Translate business requirements into actionable IAM architectures and delivery roadmaps
  • Lead discovery sessions, architecture assessments, and technical workshops
  • Present and defend architecture decisions to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Align IAM solutions to enterprise security strategies
  • Mentor engineers and analysts to improve technical depth and delivery capability
  • Promote collaboration and shared ownership across teams
  • Ensure architecture decisions are clearly documented and understood
  • Contribute to reusable patterns, standards, and practice development
