The Practical Nursing Instructor must demonstrate the ability to deliver theory and skills training through direct teaching and demonstration of skills, provide experience in safety and maintenance issues in the medical workplace, teach the course curriculum as outlined by FTC and DESE, supervise students in a clinical setting, build knowledge and develop medical skills, maintain accurate records on all students, including but not limited to attendance records, schedules and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content, evaluate and document students’ progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained, communicate effectively with students, and all affiliated with the course. This role is responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning, providing an environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and medical-based concepts, and performing other duties assigned. The instructor will emphasize workplace readiness skills.
