About The Position

1Milk2Sugars is seeking a PR Intern for its Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, hourly temporary internship running from January 4 through April 30, based in New York’s Fashion District. The internship offers hands-on agency experience, mentorship, and opportunities to build a portfolio through real client work.

The preferred schedule is full-time at 40 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of three days per week. The stated schedule is 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. Students may also receive academic credit if approved by their institution. The position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and interns are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws.

Requirements

• Strong interest in PR, media, and the beauty and lifestyle industries.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to collaborate and work independently.
• Availability to support occasional events outside regular business hours.
• Comfort with physical tasks such as packing mailers, including lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous agency or office experience.
• Familiarity with beauty influencers on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

• Monitor media coverage and compile reports.
• Draft press materials and assist with media outreach.
• Support event planning and influencer engagement.
• Maintain media databases.
• Coordinate mailers and product send-outs.
• Conduct research on venues, influencers, and trends.
• Provide general administrative and reception support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
