About The Position

OPENLANE simplifies wholesale so our customers can thrive. We are looking for an Automotive Appearance Attendant with automotive reconditioning experience to also support our vehicle department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a retail shop or production environment. Schedule Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - Salary $19.36/h

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required
• Basic computer and smartphone skills required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in automotive detailing is an asset
• Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are prepared for auction by completing the reconditioning process, including interior cleaning, upholstery cleaning, applying products to vinyl, tar and sticker removal, interior vacuuming and shampooing, glass cleaning, and vehicle polishing.
• Gain cross-training to support quality control, de-dealing, or post-reconditioning photos process.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared for auction and ensure vehicles are operational (i.e. jump-starting, adding fuel, handling lockouts, preparing for towing, and inflating tires).
• Prepare vehicles for entry into our remarketing system, including preparing vehicles for reconditioning shops or transport, and moving, tagging, flagging, and/or preparing vehicles as instructed.
• Provide customer service by assisting customers or other internal departments in retrieving their vehicles.
• Drive vehicles in various weather conditions and may be required to manually clear snow by various means (clearing vehicles of snow, light shoveling in the yard, operating a snowplow, bobcat, loader, etc.).
