As a public relations account supervisor at Bader Rutter, you’ll lead day-to-day PR and corporate communications efforts for a key manufacturing client in automated solutions. Dedicated to one client, you’ll become deeply immersed in their business, develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and help shape how they tell their stories to the audiences that matter. Requirements

• At least seven years of relevant experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably within an agency environment or supporting high-profile brands, complex businesses or senior corporate leadership.
• A proven track record in earned media relations, including established relationships with relevant trade, business and national media; strong editorial instincts to identify newsworthy angles and evaluate opportunities; and hands-on experience developing compelling pitches and executing targeted outreach that delivers meaningful coverage.
• Strong corporate communications and storytelling expertise, with exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills and the ability to turn complex subject matter into compelling narratives.
• Experience leading client relationships and advising senior stakeholders, with the confidence to provide strategic recommendations, respectfully challenge assumptions and guide conversations toward productive decisions.
• A track record of earning client trust, delivering thoughtful counsel and moving difficult conversations toward decisions.
• Resilience and composure under pressure. The ability to navigate challenging situations; receive and respond constructively to candid feedback; and maintain confidence, professionalism and perspective when expectations are high.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, work independently, and take ownership of projects and results.

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client relationship. Serve as the day-to-day PR lead and trusted adviser, building strong relationships with client stakeholders; anticipating needs; managing expectations; and providing confident, solutions-oriented counsel.
• Drive earned media and corporate communications. Develop compelling, newsworthy storylines; assess opportunities for earned media potential; and execute proactive outreach to trade, business and national media. Leverage and expand established journalist relationships to secure meaningful coverage, executive visibility and thought leadership opportunities.
• Own the program. Lead content strategy, execution, measurement and reporting, while partnering with account leadership to manage scopes, budgets, key performance indicators and performance.
• Make complex stories compelling. Drive content, thought leadership, search engine optimization (SEO) and earned media that connect technical expertise to meaningful business and industry issues. Translate technical information and business priorities into clear, accurate and engaging narratives — messaging and communications that resonate with industry audiences.
• Anticipate what is next. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, emerging issues and the media landscape to identify opportunities, bring forward fresh thinking and help clients stay ahead of the conversation.
• Deliver exceptional work. Maintain high standards for strategic thinking, writing, accuracy and brand voice. Guide the development and review of communications materials, ensuring work is thoughtful, polished and ready for clients.
• Bring disciplines together. Collaborate across PR, strategy, creative, digital and paid media teams to develop integrated communications approaches while providing direction and mentorship to junior team members.
• Help the business grow. Identify opportunities to expand the partnership and support new business efforts.
