Requirements
- Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
- Have a complete set of tools appropriate for Industrial pipe fitting/welding
- Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
- Perform work at heights
- Perform and pass pipe coupon weld test
- At least 4 years Pipe welding preferably in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Executing pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and procedures
- Measure, cut, and fabricate material according to specifications
- Repair/Install/Replace piping or pipe components according to specifications
- Fabricate and install piping using brazing, soldering, tig, mig, stick, and flux core welding
- Examining previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defects
- Prepare welding surfaces for a welding operation by cutting and shaping materials using hand and power tools
- Communicate with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and project needs
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materials
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools
- Adhere to all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and other task related safety requirements
