About The Position

Dow has an exciting opportunity as a PPM & Materials Coordinator. This role is located in Hayward (CA, USA). In this role you will manage the creation, modification, and optimization of the plant PPM program. You will provide input into the overall plant Predictive Preventive Maintenance strategy. You will oversee ongoing compliance with GMISS inspections and repairs. You will also act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling and distribution of materials, supplies and service requisitions for maintenance materials. You are required to possess broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or 3 years or more of military training/experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a preventive maintenance or material coordination role.
  • Current, valid US driver’s license.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work on Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP

Responsibilities

  • Gathers appropriate PPM information for maintenance to be performed on existing or new equipment.
  • Performs quality control check on all PPM creations, equipment technical data and Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) creations including adds, changes and deletions.
  • Manages all equipment Bill of Material (BOM)-parts lists.
  • Ensures that scheduled services are entered into SAP based upon the equipment reliability strategy or reviews of new equipment that is being installed.
  • Assists during root cause investigations where PPM practices have been identified as a potential cause.
  • Tracks PPM completion of task compliance and advises Plant leadership and reliability staff of any issues impacting the effectiveness of the PPM program.
  • Serves as a master data administrator interface, as needed.
  • Supports the requirement that all Planned PPM job packages have a procedure or be on the Procedure Exemption list before the PPM job package is released for system usage.
  • Ensures ongoing compliance with GMISS inspections and repairs.
  • Enters materials, tools, equipment requests via Procurement System or Pro-card and confirms delivery date.
  • Communicates to the focal point with status updates on orders including any issues such as delayed delivery.
  • Communicates any potential changes in material specifications between supplier and requestor and initiates system updates, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates the disposition of all surplus material.
  • Coordinates the repair and/or return of materials, tools and equipment obtained on a value-added work order.
  • Monitors/tracks materials, tools and equipment orders upon receipt.
  • Prepares requisitions for off-site resources and for outside of maintenance, as needed.
  • Arranges materials, tools and equipment in a manner, that it can be identified and picked up according to job needs.
  • Gathers information and inputs into the appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Uses metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develops action to improve the process.
  • Communicates vendor performance to procurement services.
  • Works closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP).
