Powersports Service Technician | ATV & UTV Technician
About The Position
River Valley Power & Sport is seeking a skilled Powersports Service Technician to join their Rochester service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical foundation, understand diagnostics, and take pride in quality workmanship. While powersports dealership experience is valuable, the company is open to skilled technicians from automotive, diesel, marine, motorcycle, agriculture, or heavy equipment repair backgrounds. This role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of powersports products from leading manufacturers, offering a diverse service workload and opportunities for career growth within a family-owned dealership group.
Requirements
- Professional mechanical repair or technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of engines, electrical systems, drivetrains, suspension, and general mechanical repair
- Pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage repair jobs efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Personal tools and toolbox
- Valid driver's license

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and other powersports equipment
- Troubleshoot engine, electrical, fuel, charging, drivetrain, and suspension systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service
- Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs accurately and efficiently
- Install OEM accessories, components, and upgrades
- Assemble and prepare new units for customer delivery
- Document repairs and diagnostic findings clearly
- Work with Service Advisors and Parts Specialists to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship
