About The Position

Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places. Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Ensures proper warehouse keeping, order pulling, shipping and receiving. This role requires the ability to safely navigate tight areas and deposit loads on racks 25 feet or higher, operating powered industrial trucks with capabilities ranging from 5,000 lbs. to 50,000 lbs. The operator will prepare loads for transport meeting ISO 9001 standards through D.O.T. Requirements, be familiar with DOT placarding, and read/understand picking orders. The position also involves operating computers and relevant warehouse/inventory management programs, working as part of a team, conducting inventory cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Consistent attendance is crucial.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good language and reading skills.
• Basic computer skills may be required.
• Operate variety of equipment including forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Attention to detail.
• Working in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• May be required to use RF scanner gun.
• Sit on a powered industrial truck.

• Have good eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily preventative maintenance check on all powered Industrial trucks.
• Safely navigate tight areas and deposit loads on racks 25 feet or higher.
• Operate Powered Industrial trucks from 5,000 lbs. capability to 50,000 lbs.
• Prepare loads for transport, meeting all ISO 9001 standards through D.O.T. Requirements.
