About The Position

The Powered Equipment Operator is responsible for safely handling and maneuvering Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift or other machinery within the DC. This role operates on the 1st shift, with hours from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Some overtime, including weekend work, may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Must be able to pass equipment certification test and show proficiency in driving equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment (cold & heat)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year of related experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Promptly moves pallets and other items needing movement to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel
• Operates all machinery in a safe manner at all times
• Performs daily check of machinery
• Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once
• Performs all duties in a safe, accurate and timely manner
• Maintains a clean work area at all times
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
• Conducts other duties as required and assigned
• Assists in other warehouse functions as directed
