About The Position

The Governors office is seeking a PowerBI Specialist to support a state wide Covid project. The contractor selected will work with several agencies including VDEM. They will be onsite at VDEM. The position will provide dedicated support in the area of Reporting, Analytics, and ETL. Primary focus on converting reporting requirements into user-friendly, storytelling reports and dashboards. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with our government clients to develop, deploy and maintain analytical and reporting software solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Will create and establish a framework for Power BI that describes the data visualization approach, objectives, data connections, style guide, and publication process. Responsible for creating and maintaining multiple data visualizations using Power BI. Responsible for designing and building scalable data models, cleaning and transforming data and enabling advanced analytic capabilities to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining PowerBI reporting solutions and and associated components.
• 7 Years Experience establishing Power BI architecture that defines the data visualization approach, objectives, data connections, and processes.
• 7 Years Experience designing and building scalable data models, cleaning and transforming data and enabling advanced analytic capabilities to meet needs.
• 7 Years Experience with ETL and data transformation tools like SSIS or Talend
• 5 Years
