About The Position

Carolina Industrial Products (CIP) is looking for a motivated Power Recovery Center (PRC) Technician to join their growing team. In this role, you will refurbish and rebuild industrial forklift batteries in a fast-paced, production-based environment. These batteries support the sales department as certified used equipment. Every battery rebuilt in the Power Recovery Center is backed by a warranty, making quality workmanship and attention to detail essential. This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and enjoys seeing the results of their hard work.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus, but training will be provided
• Industrial, automotive, electrical, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate industrial forklift batteries to determine whether they can be refurbished or should be recycled
• Refurbish and rebuild batteries according to established quality standards and procedures
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and production efficiency
• Complete assigned work within established timelines
• Document all inspections and repairs using internal system (training provided)
• Communicate battery status and production updates with the PRC Production Manager
• Receive, unload, and stage batteries and materials using forklifts (forklift training provided)
• Prepare scrap batteries for shipment, including banding, staging, and loading trucks
• Prepare battery cells, rental batteries, and refurbished batteries for customer shipment
• Monitor shop inventory and communicate material or parts needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment
• Support the continued growth and success of the Power Recovery Center
