About The Position

This role is an opportunity to work closely with our largest global customers. You will provide real-time technical support to technicians in the field and maintain industry-leading equipment availability for our rental customers. This role is based in San Antonio, TX, with occasional travel to customers and dealers (up to 15%) across North America.

Requirements

  • Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows
  • Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components
  • 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance and repair
  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Collaborative approach to resolving issues impacting various groups across the enterprise.
  • Ability to understand processes (system and non-system), troubleshoot, develop, and recommend solutions.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and be a self-motivated team player.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with large rental fleets preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair
  • Maintain high level of phone and email response rates to customer enquiries
  • Travel to support technical customer issues and provide product training as required
  • Analyze warranty claims to identify any emerging product concerns
  • Prioritize product quality concerns for resolution with the manufacturing and engineering teams
  • Drive conformance to JCB standards for service concern closure and field action
  • Communicate with global service teams on common service and product concerns and work collaboratively on resolutions
  • Support testing of failed components to ascertain detailed failure information
  • Communicate any necessary product field action via technical bulletins, product updates, e-mail, and phone
  • Other duties as assigned
