About The Position

This role is for an Online/Outage Scheduler to join the generation team, serving as a main component in daily operations for both PSS (Project Support Services) and the overall Outage Management team. The scheduler will play a meaningful role in resource loading weekly schedules for the crafts within PSS as well as building and executing outage schedules for the fleet of power generation plants to drive completion. This is an opportunity to leverage technical expertise to identify critical paths and advise management on strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Nine or more years of experience in industrial (power, petrochemical, pulp/paper, steel, etc.) plant operations, maintenance or engineering or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in building, maintaining, updating and executing schedules in Primavera(P6)
• Experience using Maximo Work Order Management & Cost Tracking.
• Experience in power plant operations and maintenance (coal/gas) within high-pressure outage environments.
• Expertise in building high-involvement teams focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Optimize workforce productivity by analyzing backlog and regulatory requirements to develop multi-week schedules, achieving 100% utilization of PSS employee hours.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive planned outage schedules for various plant units.
• Collaborate with operations and Multi-craft Supervisors to ensure all LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures are pre-arranged to facilitate efficient execution of work schedules.
• Drive performance improvements by developing and tracking key metrics to analyze effectiveness.
• Participate in meetings with plant management, operations, maintenance and reliability personnel to discuss key milestone dates, discovery work, or changes in overall outage duration.
• Collaborate with power plant planners and multi-craft supervisors to validate, sequence, and integrate all required scopes within scheduled windows.
