About The Position

The selected candidate will operate critical equipment and systems, which provide production trades plant services, such as low and high pressure steam, low & high pressure compressed air, river water, and demineralized water. The person must be a team player, highly motivated and work with minimal supervision. This position requires working a rotating shift including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

Hold a valid Driver's License.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical specifications and/or equipment operating manuals.
Must be a team player.
Must be highly motivated.
Must be able to work a rotating shift including holidays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of plant operations, computers, electrical, pipefitting, and troubleshooting control systems.
High school graduate is preferred.
Previous military experience with boiler operations and associated systems.
Experience in plant operations involving air compressors or water pumping systems.
Experience with maintenance and repair of steam operating 600 psi and above marine type boilers is preferred.
A solid understanding of a basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, burner management systems, pumps, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors and generation of demineralized water.
