About The Position

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2, in Bridgeport, NJ. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades. You’ll be based out of our Bridgeport, NJ Service Center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 3-7 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations and handling the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
