Under limited guidance, this position is responsible for preparing estimates, refining scope, preparing bid documents, and ordering materials and services for all work at FPL’s Fossil Generation sites. The role involves planning and developing projects with a high level of efficiency by utilizing appropriate technology. The planner acts as a liaison to individuals within and outside their organization, with the responsibility to act independently regarding matters pertaining to their field of expertise. They will also act in a lead role for Planning on overhaul work, coordinating all mechanical, civil, electrical, and I&C work. This includes performing jobsite walk-downs and scope validation, supporting the procurement of materials and services, and establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates in accordance with the Major Maintenance Process. The role also involves acting in a lead capacity for Outage work planning and requires proficiency in technical procedure writing. A good working understanding of Maximo, Digital Worker, and Power BI applications is expected.
