About The Position

This entry-level position supports the Engineering team and reports directly to regional operational leadership. It combines office and field work, providing hands-on experience applying technical skills to help design safe, reliable, and cost-effective power distribution solutions. The role requires learning design tools, following company and client workflows and procedures, accurately entering data, and developing a foundational understanding of project technical requirements. Regular on-site attendance is required; remote and hybrid work are not available. The employee may also perform other related duties as needed to meet ongoing organizational needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
0–2 years of experience in power distribution engineering, electrical craft work, or GIS/CAD-related work.
Valid driver's license and a vehicle suitable for business use; mileage reimbursement may apply.
Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Interpret and comply with applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintain accurate, well-organized project documentation.
Assist with preparing complete project and job packages, including drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions, using company and client design software and work management tools.
Develop technical, design, and field knowledge through ongoing training and mentorship from experienced team members, supervisors, and Professional Engineers.
Provide regular project status updates and build effective working relationships with internal and external partners to help meet expectations, timelines, and business objectives.
Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
