About The Position

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Power Engineer - 4th Class for our sawmill in Castlegar, British Columbia. An Industrial Mechanic/Millwright at Interfor extends beyond typical maintenance of mechanical systems. This includes working with automated equipment, sophisticated PLC systems and remote/web-based technologies. The starting rate for this position is $47.18 per hour. Requirements

  • A valid TSBC 4th Class Power Engineering certificate.
  • Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
  • Recognize problems and have them corrected immediately.
  • Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Be a positive contributor to a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
