Power Electronics Engineer I

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory
•$97,656 - $114,192•Onsite

About The Position

The Power Electronics Engineer I will support JPL’s Power Electronics Group in the design, development, fabrication, and testing of next-generation space power hardware. The role covers the power electronics development cycle from initial concepts and subsystem design through hardware fabrication, testing, documentation, and delivery. The engineer will design electronics subsystems and support equipment, work hands-on with laboratory test equipment, and collaborate with cognizant engineers, senior design engineers, systems engineers, technical group supervisors, and project managers to help deliver reliable flight hardware. JPL’s Power Electronics Group conducts research and development and supports flight applications involving power systems, power electronics, power sources, energy storage, energy conversion, and related sensor systems. The group develops power-subsystem concepts, implements power-system architectures and flight-project hardware, and supports proposal development and project formulation. The position is based at JPL’s campus in Pasadena, California.
